Air
spring isolator
Air springs are very soft
spring elements, which build up their spring resistance from
the
compression of the air inside. They basically consist of two
metal or synthetic flanges
and a rubber element. ( goto

Steel
spring isolator
Steel spring isolators are spring elements which basically
consist of a case and stacks of
compression springs. They are mainly used for the bearing
of machines, such as presses,
forging hammers and coal mills. Their natural frequencies
are greater than 2.5 Hz.

Elastomer spring isolator
Elastomer springs are vibration isolators, which are made
of different compounds of natural
caoutchouc. The elastomer springs elements usually consist
of metal parts with caoutchouc
spring body.
They are mainly used for bearings with natural frequencies
greater than 6 Hz. Because of their
low load capacity they are only of limited use for the bearing
of great masses.
